Brand Identity Design

A brand identity built from what really sets your business apart, not from trends or a mood board: logo, visual language and rules that work the same on the website, in advertising, in print and in the product.

What we create

A brand identity is not a logo, it is the accumulated evidence that tells a customer whether your business can be trusted before a single word is exchanged. We begin by understanding what actually differentiates your business, then translate that into a visual language that is consistent everywhere it appears.

The result is an identity that reinforces trust and recognition at every touchpoint, and gives your marketing a coherent foundation to build on rather than a new look to reinvent with each campaign.

Stages OF WORK

01

06

Analysis & Discovery

To create a cohesive visual brand identity, we need to understand the brand in detail and immerse ourselves in the industry. After getting to know the company and analyzing the product or service, we translate those insights into a graphic language.

02

06

Brief & Reference Selection

A quality brief is not a standard questionnaire about the product. We learn about all the client preferences, their vision for the brand, and the future visual style. We select references and discuss details with concrete visual examples.

03

06

Brief Development for the Team

After selecting the visual directions, the manager drafts a technical brief for the designer based on the initial request and briefing results. The specialist takes on the task and develops the visual concepts.

04

06

Presenting Visual Concepts

At this stage we present several visual concepts that respond to the initial brief. Each concept is a unique identity built from carefully selected graphic elements: typefaces, colors, illustrations, and patterns. Multiple concepts make it easy to choose the right direction and eliminate doubt.

05

06

Concept Approval & Revisions

After reviewing and trying different visual directions for your brand, you choose one direction and submit the necessary revisions. You provide the list of brand assets, and we agree on a timeline for presenting the complete brand identity.

06

06

Creating the Brand Guidelines

At this stage the designer refines all nuances, makes final adjustments, and delivers the complete visual brand image. They document recommendations and rules for using all graphic elements — and present the brand guidelines, a document that helps you apply the identity correctly across any medium.

FAQ

What is included in a brand identity project?

A typical project includes logo design, color palette, typography, and a brand style guide covering how the identity should be applied across digital and print materials.

How many logo concepts will we see?

We typically present 2 to 3 distinct logo directions based on your brief, then refine the chosen direction through several rounds of feedback until it is ready.

Do you design only the logo, or the full visual identity?

We design the full visual identity, not just the logo. That includes supporting graphic elements, color system, typography, and guidelines for applying the brand consistently.

Can you refresh our existing brand instead of starting from zero?

Yes, we offer brand refresh projects that modernize your existing identity while keeping recognizable elements your audience already associates with you.

What files do we receive at the end of the project?

You receive all source files (vector formats), web-ready exports, and a brand style guide PDF, giving you everything needed to use the identity anywhere, with or without us.

How long does a brand identity project take?

A brand identity project takes 4 to 12 weeks, depending on its complexity and how deeply the identity is worked out. Within that range, the number of revision rounds and how quickly feedback comes move the date.

Do you also design the website or marketing materials to match the new brand?

Yes, we can extend the identity into website design, social media templates, and other marketing materials, so everything stays visually consistent.

Will I be able to track my project?

Yes. Every client gets access to our project portal: stages, approvals, documents and requests in one place.

What is the difference between a brand identity, an identity system and strategy with identity?

A brand identity, from $5,000, covers the logo, typography, colour and the rules that hold them together; it fits when the position is clear and the brand lives in a few places. An identity system, $10,000 to $20,000, adds imagery, graphic language and rules for many applications, such as a website, packaging, documents and social media. Strategy and identity, from $15,000, starts with positioning, for a new market, a new audience or a business that has outgrown its story. The strategic session decides which one you need.

Should we do the identity before the website, or together with it?

The identity comes first, or at least the decisions about it do. A new identity on an old website rarely works, and a new website built on an outdated identity stands on an old foundation. For SHTAYER, launching a new site before redefining the brand made no sense, so the identity came first. For Nico Juliany we designed the identity, the brand book and the custom Laravel website as one project. When both are needed, one team keeps them consistent.

How do we know whether we need a new identity at all?

A new identity is worth the money when something underneath the brand has changed: the business, the audience, the market or the ownership, or when customers misunderstand the brand or put it in the wrong category. Being tired of an old logo is not a business reason on its own. If you are unsure, an audit of the existing identity or a strategic session answers the question first, and sometimes the answer is a smaller job: a clearer website, better photography or a tighter message.

Do we need to change our name as part of a new identity?

Usually not. A name customers already search for and recommend carries recognition that a new one has to earn again; we kept the name PERETZ for that reason, although a clearer option was available. If a new name or mark is chosen, budget for a trademark search before it is final and for registration afterwards. In the US the USPTO base application fee is $350 per class of goods or services (checked October 2026).

What should we prepare before the project starts?

Before the strategic session, a short request: what the business does, whom it serves, what has changed and what decision you face. For the analysis, the brand materials you already have: logo files, old guidelines, photographs and printed samples, so we can make an inventory of what to keep. For the brief, examples of brands you like and dislike, which we discuss on concrete visuals. And the name of the person who will sign off on the concepts. The final list of places the identity must cover is agreed when you choose a concept.

Will the identity work in more than one language?

It will if the languages are known at the start. Typefaces are chosen to cover every script the brand will use, because a face that looks refined in Latin may have no Cyrillic or Arabic version at all, and the logo, signs and layouts are checked with the longest version of each name. A script that reads right to left, such as Arabic, needs its own typeface pair and mirrored layouts, so it is planned as a separate part of the work.
