You get 2 to 4 QA engineers we know personally, picked for your product, and you choose. The engineer then works for you, while we handle contracts, equipment, HR and reports. If you would rather hand testing over to us, with the strategy and scope on our side, see QA and software testing.
Hire QA Engineers
Your developers test their own work and old bugs come back with each release. We find a manual or automation QA engineer in our pool of vetted specialists in Ukraine and Eastern Europe, and that person joins your team: your stand-ups, your tracker, your lead. Full or part time, paid by the hour.
From $30 an hour
What our QA engineers do
-
01.
Manual and exploratory
Test cases in TestRail, Qase or Jira, exploratory sessions on new features, and bug reports developers can reproduce on the first try.
-
02.
UI automation
End-to-end tests in Playwright, Cypress or Selenium, in TypeScript, Java or Python, with page objects and stable selectors.
-
03.
API testing
REST and GraphQL checks in Postman or in code: schemas, authentication, error cases and clean test data.
-
04.
Mobile testing
IOS and Android builds from TestFlight or Firebase on real devices, and Appium automation once the app is stable.
-
05.
Load and performance
K6, JMeter or Gatling scripts that model your real traffic before a sale, a launch or a big release.
-
06.
CI and releases
Tests in GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins, flaky tests tracked down, and a clear go or no-go before each deploy.

You describe the role
Manual, automation or both, the frameworks, what you test (web, API, mobile), the hours and who the engineer reports to. We can also find mobile developers at the same time.

We send a shortlist
2 to 4 vetted QA engineers, usually in 1 to 3 weeks. A niche profile or a very senior automation lead can take 4 to 6 weeks.

You interview them
A technical interview, a review of their earlier test code or a short paid test task: your choice.

The engineer starts
We handle onboarding and access, the engineer joins your sprints, and you get a monthly report.
What you get
Every test case, script and report belongs to you from day one, with the intellectual property; this is in every contract. If you need developers and QA together, run by us, a dedicated development team fits better.
A shortlist of 2 to 4 QA engineers matched to your mix of manual and automated work and your release pace.
The final word: you interview the candidates and decide who joins.
Contracts, an NDA, equipment and access to your tracker and test environments, arranged by us.
An engineer who takes tasks from your lead, not from us.
A monthly report and regular check-ins, so problems come up early.
A replacement when the engineer does not fit, with the handover arranged by us.

Pricing
From $30 an hour
That is the starting rate for manual testing. Automation engineers, senior QA and niche skills such as load testing or mobile automation cost more. The rate depends on seniority and on full or part time.
You pay by the hour for the hours worked, invoiced monthly. The rate includes selection, contracts, equipment, HR support, replacements and reports. Your own tools and licences, such as a test management system or a device cloud, stay on your side.

FAQ
Do we need a manual tester or an automation engineer?
A product that changes fast and has no test cases needs a manual engineer first. When the same checks run before every release, automation pays off.
Can the engineer work with our existing test suite?
Yes. We look for someone who knows your framework and language, whether that is an old Selenium suite in Java or Cypress in JavaScript, or who has moved a suite to Playwright if you plan to.
Can one QA engineer cover web, API and mobile?
For a small product, often yes. When the app or the load tests need deep specialist work, add a second engineer, part time if the load is small.
Who manages the engineer day to day?
You do. The engineer takes tasks from your QA lead or engineering manager and works in your tools. We handle contracts, HR and reports, and replace the engineer if they do not fit.
What about time zones and hours?
Our engineers are in Ukraine and Eastern Europe: 3 to 5 hours of overlap with Western Europe and 2 to 4 with the US East Coast. Testing works well async: a build your Seattle team deploys in the evening can be tested overnight.
Can we hire the engineer in-house later?
Ask us. We discuss it case by case.
