The people we propose have led development teams and owned the architecture of real products. They do not sell you development; they help you make technical decisions and check the people who carry them out, whether that is your own team, freelancers or an outside company. If you later hire a full-time CTO, ours helps you find and onboard them.
Fractional CTO
Your company depends on technology, but a full-time CTO is not yet justified. The decisions still have to be made: which stack, which vendor, whom to hire, whether the code your developers deliver is any good. A Fractional CTO from our pool gives you that judgment part time, about one day a week at the base price, and works for you, not for the vendor.
From $3,500 a month
What the CTO takes on
-
01.
Strategy and roadmap
A technology plan tied to your business goals: what to build now, what can wait and what it will cost.
-
02.
Architecture decisions
Stack, hosting, data structure, and whether to build or buy, with the reasons written down.
-
03.
Vendors and freelancers
Choosing outside teams, reading their estimates and checking their work against what was agreed, with an opinion that does not depend on the vendor's interest.
-
04.
Hiring developers
Role profiles, technical interviews, test tasks and a clear view of whom to hire and at what level.
-
05.
Code and security reviews
Regular checks of code quality, access rights, backups and security practices, with a list of what to fix first.
-
06.
Budget and investors
Control of technical spending, and the tech side of conversations with investors, including preparation for a technical due diligence.

Pricing
From $3,500 a month
The base price covers about one day a week of the CTO's time. More time, more price: two or three days a week, or intense weeks before a launch or a round, are priced to match. The price is agreed before the work starts.
The work runs month to month, with no long contract: you pay monthly and can change the amount of time or stop at the end of any month. The price includes meetings, reviews, interviews and the monthly summary. Development, design and testing are not included.

FAQ
How is a fractional CTO different from a full-time one?
The experience is the same; the time is not. You get the decisions, reviews and hiring help that matter most at your stage without a full-time salary, and add time as you grow.
Who will be our CTO?
A senior person from our pool who has led development teams and owned architecture. You meet the candidates before you decide.
Will the CTO write code?
Mostly no. The role is to decide, review and guide. A small proof of concept fits within the agreed time; development is done by a team.
Can the CTO check a vendor we already work with?
Yes, it is one of the most common tasks. The CTO reviews the code, the estimates and how the work is organized, and tells you plainly what needs to change.
Can the CTO help us prepare for investors?
Yes. The CTO prepares the technology part of your story, answers investors' technical questions and gets the code and documentation ready for a technical due diligence.
What about time zones?
Ukraine and Eastern Europe overlap 3 to 5 hours with Western Europe and 2 to 4 hours with the US East Coast. Most of our specialists are flexible with hours, and reviews and written decisions work well async.
